The Requirements of Direct Physician Dispensing
Nowadays people love the idea that they just have to go to the clinic and they can get both consultancy and medications directly there. The direct physician dispensing solution is the process that helps to save both money and time. Though, the practice is limited within a few private practices, hospitals and urgent care clinics, it is still a huge move. It also helps to reduce the waiting time of patients and improve overall patient outcomes. There are a few requirements in order to maintain direct physician dispensing in an easier way. However, remember that the requirements vary from state to state.
The Requirements
Generally, a physician knows the fact that he or she needs a DEA registration number to start prescribing drugs covered by schedules 2, 3, 4, and 5 controlled substances. Physicians have to contact the state’s regulatory body for pharmacies or the medical boards of the state to get permission for selling these medicines.
